Weighed in this morning at 185 - woo hoo! I have felt like crap the last few days - bloated with major stomach issues - I think it was food poisoning from this weekend at Cooperstown. Note to self - do not eat there again OR do not choose the salad. Could have been the salad OR the beef. Ugh.

Anyway, here is what I've eaten today:

Monday 4/25/11

Not doing very good on my diet! Just wanted to blog to let you all know that I will be blogging on a regular basis tomorrow and am going to start trying to run a mile a day, hopefully with the doggies. It's been a long week mainly because I had to work a night shift from 7pm-6am and was physically and mentally exhausted from just covering shifts all week and not being used to it but hopefully the money will be good. Tomorrow I am getting on the ball though and I will prove it to all of you. Blog you tomorrow !

Wednesday - Weigh in Day

Weighed in this morning at 187, so woo hoo! I lost 2 lbs this week. This is why I don't weigh myself in (typically) during the week, as there are most definitely highs and lows, and at any given time in a day (before a shit or after a shit, before a meal or after a meal, at the end of the day vs. the beginning) I could fluctuate 4-5 lbs. This is why you weigh yourself at the same time as the previous week on the same day - to see what you've actually lost over the previous week. This week it's 2 lbs, which was my goal. And with really no exercise this week (I am bad!) I feel that 2 lbs is good!

Today was sort of a weird day in that we ate out for two meals but did our best to count the calories, so here goes:
1 bowl grapenuts - 200 cal

2 eggs - 145 cal
2 slices wholegrain toast - 200 cal
1 tbsp butter - 50 cal
1 small fruit cup - 100 cal
1 iced tea - 0 cal

1/3 portion of frozen lemonade - 90 cal

burrito bowl from Mexican place - 475 cal
1/2 glass wine - 60 cal
10 popped chips - 30 cal
20 wheat thins - 150 cal
2 tbs cream cheese - 100 cal

Total cal today: 1290

I felt good today but craved coffee all day. I'll try for a coffee tomorrow to see how I feel. This weekend Dad and I will take some starting photos too.

Weight Loss Here I Come!

Hello there! While in Vegas, my weight was 170lbs, but since back, and considering I'm starting today, my new starting weight is 163lbs.



Today, what I have eaten so far is:



7 hash browns from Subway - 262 calories

2 ice cream sandwiches - 300 calories

Lean Cuisine - 250 calories




So far I have eaten - 812 calories.



Later tonight I will update on the rest of my food intake.
I would not say that I feel wonderful today, but I feel better than I did yesterday. No more ice cream bars once these are gone.

Start of diet

So, today is the day I started the diet, and I am doing OK. I weighed in at 189 this morning (ouch!) and realized that this diet is a GOOD thing for my body and much needed.

Here is what I've eaten so far:

Subway turkey sandwich - 6 inch - 280
Mustard - 5 cal
Cheese - 40 cal
1 large iced tea - 0 cal
1 oz popped chips - 120 cal
1 cup coffee with imitation half and half - 40 cal
1.5 pieces of chicken - 200 cal
2 mini clementine oranges - 80 cal total
1/2 pear - 40 cal
1 McDonald's ice cream cone - 150 cal



Total for day: 955 calories

This is because I woke up late and didn't eat breakfast (which I wouldn't normally do!), so my calories were a bit low for today. Tomorrow will be better!

Weight Loss 101

OK guys (meaning Whitney and Kevin!), tomorrow is Day 1 of the diet plan. I am keeping my calories at 1400 or less and am going to get my podometer set up tomorrow so that I can make sure to walk 10,000 steps each day. I will keep my daily food written here as well as my weight and walking progress, and will record my weight once each week on Wednesday of each week - and hope you guys will do the same! Tomorrow morning I will record my starting weight and at the end of each day I will record what I've eaten that day and the calorie count of each item, so that we can all be held accountable. I will also record how I'm feeling that day, etc. It will make it much easier to lose the weight I think. My goal is to lose 1-2 lbs a week, so by the end of August 2011, I should have lost 38 lbs (that is on average 2 lbs a week). I should then reach my optimal weight (goal weight) by mid-December. I would love to go into this holiday season as a much thinner (and healthier) person!
